Lorenzo Ambrosini holds an Engineering as well as a Business Administration Master Degree from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETHZ). He started his professional career at the engineering enterprise TBF Toscano-Bernardi-Frey AG, Zurich, focusing on water treatment and waste management. In the year 2000 he moved to the cement producer Holcim where as a senior consultant he was leading a team for the development of product management and strategy projects in EMEA and Asia. From 2006 to 2017 Lorenzo Ambrosini worked at BASF, the world largest chemical company, in the Construction Chemicals Division in the field of construction materials additives, leading the regional organizations in EMEA, Asia, N. and S. America. In 2012 he was promoted as Member of the Business Unit Management Team. Within this period, he held different positions, such as Global Segment Manager Cement Additives, and Head of Marketing & Sales Non-flammable Foams. Since 2017 he is CEO of Fondazione Agire, the innovation agency of Southern Switzerland, which includes also the management of Tecnopolo Ticino.
