Days 4-5 of Fashion Innovation Week
The Digital Creativity Challenge
Part hackathon, part Dragons den, the Digital Creativity Challenge is an opportunity for students and young talents to explore how digital technologies can shape the fashion industry. Student groups from leading Swiss and international universities (USI, SUPSI, University of Lucerne, Bocconi University – Milan, Università dell’Insubria, Henley Business School, IFA Paris) compete to produce a viable plan for a digital initiative to present to a leading fashion brand, whose managers will evaluate their projects. The initiative is led this year by 7 For All Mankind, a US denim and urban apparel brand with EMEA headquarters in Mendrisio.
THE FASHION INDUSTRY IN TICINO
Ticino is strategically well located for the fashion industry in between the financial center Zurich and the fashion capital Milano. In total, more than 80 international fashion and luxury brands call Ticino their home, e.g. Kering Group, VF International, Guess, Michael Kors, to only name a few. The fashion industry is looking into new distribution models and is making use of new technologies to gain a better understanding of their customers, offer the very best digital experiences and improve how they do business.
WHAT IS THE DIGITAL CREATIVITY CHALLENGE ABOUT?
The Digital Creativity Challenge offers students the opportunity to work on a case of a real-world problem case designed by 7 For All Mankind, letting them gain first-hand experience in the challenges of one of Ticino’s leading business areas as well as meet industry leaders and potential future employers.
Digital Creativity Challenge is an invitation-only event. To find out more, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
